Proud parents

Mom and I drove to K-State yesterday for a recognition lunch for a group Kyle was selected to be in. I don't remember the name of the group right now, but that's not important to this story (Quest?). Some really big whig from K-State sat at our table. He kicked off the event with a speech and said something about this group representing some of the best K-State students / leaders the school has to offer. I think there were 35 in the group. And then they selected 3 members to speak. Kyle was one of them. He did a great job. I'll post a picture I took later tonight. Just visualize Kyle at a podium and the lighting in the pic is very bad and you know what the picture will look like.

One other thing while on this subject. The big whig that sat at our table said his daughter is a Senior VP at one of the largest public relation firms in the country and she's based in KC. He said she helps a lot of K-State kids get jobs because he sends her resumes. I asked if she could get the sister of a K-State student a job even if she went to Baylor. At first he said "how do I phrase not a snow balls chance". But after the lunch he told me to send Jessica's resume to him and he would send it to his daughter. So Jessica - send your resume and a link to your website to Kyle so Kyle can send it to the big whig that sat at our table. Boscoe is his name. I think. But that is not important to this story right now. He likes Kyle. It's good to have connections.
